Whitewater Raft Guide Training is for employment purposes to become a Maine raft guide at Northeast Whitewater. After completion of the Whitewater Guide Training program, you will take the written test administered by the State of Maine Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. After successful completion of the written test, you will receive your Registered Maine Whitewater Guide license, and be eligible to work for Northeast Whitewater Rafting. The State of Maine charges $100 to take the written test and $89 for your guide license, which is separate for the raft guide training course cost. The Maine Whitewater Guide license is good for 3 years and can be renewed upon expiration. Guide exam is conducted on the final day at Northeast Whitewater.

- Northeast Whitewater Application Form
- Completed State of Maine Guide Application Form
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications or enroll in one of our Wilderness First Aid & CPR Courses
- Non-refundable payment of $125 if participating in our work off program or pay in full for the training.
- State of Maine licensing exam June 15, 2020 in the morning at Northeast Whitewater.
Level 2 Guide Training is offered to Northeast Whitewater Rafting staff and Level I graduates only.
